All students doing nationally recognised training in Australia need to have a Unique Student Identifier (USI). This includes students doing Vocational Education Training (VET) when they are still at school (VET for secondary students).

Your USI will also give you access to an online record of the training you have done since 1 January 2015. You will also be able to produce a comprehensive transcript of your training. To apply for a USI and to find more information please visit www.usi.gov.au.

Cannot remember your USI?
If you have a USI but cannot remember it, please visit the USI Registrar and click on the I have forgotten my USI option. The USI Registrar will provide instructions for retrieving your USI.

 All of our courses on scope include CPR, there is no need to book separately.

My employer has requested an Australian First Aid certificate, why can they not accept the one I received from overseas?

All Australian companies must ensure their staff are trained in accordance with Australian Standards and relevant regulations. Please refer to your employer’s specific minimum requirements. Our Nationally Recognised Training programs are delivered by INLOC Group on behalf of ABC First Aid RTO 3399, ensuring that our certificates are valid nationwide and uphold a high standard of quality.

Yes. All of our courses within our scope include CPR as part of the course requirements. Therefore, the trainer and assessor must observe you performing CPR for 2 minutes on both an adult and infant manikin. If you have completed HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within the last 2 months and hold a nationally accredited certification, please contact our office for verification. If we can confirm the authenticity of your certification, you may be eligible for credit for this portion of the course.

Yes, students must meet the assessment and evidence criteria benchmarks for the units of competency outlined in the training package on training.gov.au to achieve competency. If any questions are answered incorrectly, you will have the opportunity to discuss them with your trainer and attempt them again. If competency is not achieved, you may return to complete the course at no additional cost.

To achieve competency, students must meet the assessment and evidence criteria outlined in the training package on training.gov.au. For courses offered by First Aid Academy, including HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), students are required to physically perform at least 2 minutes of uninterrupted, single-rescuer CPR on an adult manikin placed on the floor. Yes, group courses held at our training facility on the public calendar qualify for a discounted rate (minimum 6 participants). For training at your workplace within the Cairns CBD (minimum 8 participants), there are no additional fees beyond the standard rates. Contact us for further information.
